DAY 1

Arrival in Guwahati (GAU) – Transfer to Bhalukpong

  • Arrival at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (GAU) in Guwahati.
  • Meet and greet by our representative at the airport.
  • Transfer to Bhalukpong (approx. 5-hour drive).
  • En route, enjoy the scenic drive through lush greenery and hills.
  • Upon arrival in Bhalukpong, check-in at a pre-booked hotel.
  • Evening at leisure to explore the local market.

DAY 2

Bhalukpong to Dirang

  • Start your journey towards Dirang (approx. 139 km, 5-6 hours drive).
  • En route, visit the Orchid Research Centre at Tipi, home to numerous species of orchids native to Arunachal Pradesh.
  • Obtain ILP (Inner Line Permit) at Bhalukpong Gate to visit Tawang.
  • Continue your journey with a visit to Sherdukpen Tribal Village. Learn about the local culture and the Mahayana sect of Buddhism practiced by the villagers.
  • Visit Upper Gompa (Monastery) in Bomdila for a spiritual experience and panoramic views.
  • Arrive in Dirang and check-in at the pre-booked hotel.

DAY 3

Dirang to Tawang

  • Early morning departure from Dirang to Tawang (approx. 128 km, 4-5 hours drive).
  • Visit the Hot Water Spring in Dirang, known for its therapeutic properties.

  • Proceed to Sela Pass (13,700 ft), one of the most beautiful high-altitude mountain passes in India, with views of the frozen Sela Lake.
  • Stop at Jaswant Garh War Memorial, dedicated to the brave soldiers of the 1962 Sino-Indian War.
  • Arrive in Tawang and check-in at the pre-booked hotel.

DAY 4

Tawang – Excursion to Bum La Pass

  • Excursion to Bum La Pass (37 km from Tawang), a high-altitude pass with significant historical importance related to the 1962 Indo-China War. (Please note: Special permits required to visit Bum La Pass)
  • Visit the stunning Madhuri Lake (Sangestar Tso Lake), surrounded by snow-capped mountains and lush greenery.
  • Return to Tawang in the afternoon.

Sightseeing in Tawang
