Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Haridwar

  • Arrival: Pickup from Haridwar Junction Railway Station (HW) or Jolly Grant Airport (DED) and transfer to the hotel.
  • Check-In: Settle in at the hotel.
  • Overnight: Haridwar
Day 2: Haridwar to Sersi (via Guptkashi)

Breakfast: At the hotel.

Check-Out & Transfer: Drive to Sersi, with a stop at Guptkashi.

Sightseeing:

  • Guptkashi: Visit Ardh Narishwar Temple, a unique shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva in his half-male, half-female form.

Overnight: Sersi

Day 3: Kedarnath Temple Visit

Breakfast: At the hotel.

Transfer to Gaurikund: Early morning drive to Gaurikund, the base point for the Kedarnath trek.

Trek to Kedarnath: Begin the 16 km trek (can also be done via pony or helicopter, depending on preference).

  • Kedarnath Temple: Visit the holy shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, situated in a scenic Himalayan valley.

Overnight: Kedarnath

Day 4: Kedarnath Darshan & Return to Sersi

Morning Temple Darshan: Early morning visit to Kedarnath Temple for darshan and blessings.

Return Trek to Gaurikund: Trek back to Gaurikund and transfer to Sersi.

Overnight: Sersi

Day 5: Sersi to Joshimath (via Ukhimath & Chopta)

Breakfast: At the hotel.

Check-Out & Transfer: Drive to Joshimath, with stops at Ukhimath and Chopta.

Sightseeing:

  • Ukhimath: Known as the winter home for Kedarnath deities; visit the Omkareshwar Temple.
  • Chopta: A picturesque area known as the “Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand,” famous for its alpine meadows and views of the Himalayan peaks.

Overnight: Joshimath

Day 6: Badrinath Temple & Mana Village Excursion

Breakfast: At the hotel.

Excursion to Badrinath:

  • Badrinath Temple: Visit the revered temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, one of the most important Char Dham sites.

Sightseeing in Mana Village:

  • Mana Village: Known as the last village of India, close to the Tibetan border.
  • Vyas Gufa: A cave where Sage Vyasa is believed to have composed the Mahabharata.
  • Bhim Pul: A natural rock bridge over the Saraswati River, with a connection to the Pandavas.

Return: Back to Joshimath for the night.

Overnight: Joshimath

Day 7: Joshimath to Haridwar
  • Breakfast: At the hotel.
  • Check-Out & Transfer: Depart for Haridwar.
  • Scenic Drive: Enjoy the scenic views of the mountains, valleys, and rivers on the journey.
  • Overnight: Haridwar
Day 8: Haridwar Local Sightseeing & Departure
  • Breakfast: At the hotel.
  • Sightseeing in Haridwar (if time permits):
    • Har Ki Pauri Ghat: Visit the holy ghat for Ganga Aarti and to witness pilgrims taking sacred dips.
    • Mansa Devi Temple: Reachable by cable car, this temple offers panoramic views of Haridwar.
    • Chandi Devi Temple: Another important shrine, also accessible by cable car.
  • Check-Out & Transfer: Drop off at Haridwar Railway Station (HW) or Jolly Grant Airport (DED) for your departure.
