Itinerary
DAY 1

Arrival in Nairobi, Kenya

  • Morning: Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), Nairobi. Meet and greet by our representative, followed by transfer to your pre-booked hotel in Nairobi. Check-in and rest after your journey.
  • Afternoon: Visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where you will have the opportunity to see orphaned elephants being rehabilitated and learn about conservation efforts. This sanctuary plays a vital role in elephant conservation and offers a unique, up-close experience with the elephants.
  • Evening: Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant in Nairobi, such as the famous Carnivore Restaurant or Tamarind Nairobi.
  • Overnight: Stay at your hotel in Nairobi.
DAY 2

Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya

  • Morning: Early breakfast at the hotel. Depart for the Maasai Mara National Reserve (approx. 5-6 hours drive), one of Africa’s most renowned safari destinations, known for its abundant wildlife and the annual wildebeest migration.
  • Afternoon: Arrive at your safari lodge or camp in Maasai Mara. Check-in and enjoy lunch.
  • Evening: Embark on your first game drive in Maasai Mara, where you may encounter the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros), along with giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, and numerous other species.
  • Overnight: Stay at your lodge or camp in Maasai Mara.
DAY 3

Full Day in Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya

  • Morning: Enjoy an early morning game drive in Maasai Mara, when the wildlife is most active. Experience the breathtaking sunrise over the savannah and the opportunity to see predators hunting.
  • Afternoon: Return to the lodge for lunch and some rest.
  • Evening: Continue with another game drive to explore different areas of the reserve and witness the diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes.
  • Optional: Visit a Maasai village to learn about the traditional way of life of the Maasai people, participate in cultural activities, and enjoy traditional Maasai dance performances.
  • Overnight: Stay at your lodge or camp in Maasai Mara.
DAY 4

Maasai Mara to Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

  • Morning: After breakfast, depart from Maasai Mara and drive to the Isebania Border to cross into Tanzania (border crossing formalities).
  • Afternoon: Continue your journey towards Serengeti National Park. Arrive at your lodge or camp in the Serengeti and enjoy lunch.
  • Evening: Relax and enjoy the sunset over the vast plains of the Serengeti, a mesmerizing experience unique to this part of the world.
  • Overnight: Stay at your lodge or camp in Serengeti National Park.
DAY 5

Full Day in Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

  • Morning: Early breakfast, followed by a full-day game drive in the Serengeti, famous for its large populations of wildlife, including the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras.
  • Optional: Consider a hot air balloon safari for a unique aerial perspective of the Serengeti landscape and wildlife. This excursion requires an additional fee and early booking.
  • Afternoon: Continue exploring the Serengeti’s various regions, such as the Central Serengeti (Seronera), known for big cat sightings, and the Western Corridor, known for crocodile-filled Grumeti River.
  • Overnight: Stay at your lodge or camp in Serengeti National Park.
DAY 6

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tanzania

  • Morning: After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with en-route wildlife viewing.
  • Afternoon: Arrive at your lodge on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater and enjoy lunch.
  • Evening: Relax and take in the breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater below, the world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Overnight: Stay at your lodge on the crater rim.
DAY 7

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha, Tanzania

  • Morning: Early breakfast, followed by a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater is renowned for its dense concentration of wildlife, including elephants, lions, black rhinos, and large flocks of flamingos at Lake Magadi.
  • Afternoon: Ascend from the crater and drive back to Arusha (approx. 3-4 hours drive).
  • Evening: Arrive in Arusha and check in at your hotel. Explore the local markets and pick up souvenirs, or enjoy dinner at a local restaurant such as Arusha Coffee Lodge.
  • Overnight: Stay at your hotel in Arusha.
DAY 8

Departure from Arusha, Tanzania

  • Morning: Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Arusha.
  • Afternoon: Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your onward journey.
  • End of the trip and services.
